A Gentle Life

David Esposito passed away on 24 April 2012 at San Francisco. A child of New Hampshire he came west in the 1960s seeking a life free of bigotry and a place in a city known for eccentrics. For thirty years David was a night clerk at one of several respected hotels and he was beloved by friends guests and fellow employees.
In the last year his most recent employment came to a close as he sought retirement and grew weary from changing times.
Despite best efforts David was not ready for idleness and depression stalked him and after months of indecision and dread he faded away .

Those of us who knew him. A small circle of friends did everything to motivate David but his heart wasn't in it. Now he is gone, a good dinner companion and steady friend.
